What the balls david lynch?!?!!?!

I just watched inland empire and aside from being completely horrifying, it also made absolutely no sense. It was like laura dern was trapped in the twisted mind of david lynch and couldn't get out, and is eventually driven mad by the unbridled terror within. It was like david lynch made the entire film with the intention afterward of shouting at the audience: "good luck sleeping tonight, i know i will, having successfully mind-raped you". Now if you'll excuse me i need to go weep silently while taking a cold shower with my clothes on.
