...and for some reason now a grain elevator

Some people shouldn't be allowed on facebook. I mean i suppose everyone is entitled to keep in contact with their friends and family, but some should just shut the fuck up. The worst of these are the people who seem to have an incomplete grasp of written language. I seriously came across a guy who insisted on using 'lool' as an expression of enjoyment.

-___-
in alberta expect the unexcpected lool

-_____-lool if only we were rich :(

-_____-
lool i love ur thinkin lool ;)

-_____-
lool totally agree that y we make a pact to share our winning from the lottery when it happens lool we will be rich and happy :)

-MOPEY-
THERE IS NO REGGIE ONLY LOOOOOL!!

See, this is the kind of thing i'm talking about. Like seriously, what the hell?!
I mean i dislike 'lol'. hbt what the fuck is 'lool'? Well for a while i'm gonna do some posts on the ridiculousness of the slightly retarded people on facebook.

High School's Over

Now that i have been out of high school for over a year, i feel that i have earned a strange sort of perspective on the relationships i formed there. Of all the people i knew, i still see only like five, and i don't talk to many more than ten. Its weird because in high school, you assume you will keep your friends forever.

Its weird because i haven't kept any and i don't feel bad at all.

I wonder if it makes me a bad person that i don't feel bad.

I wonder if things could have gone differently, or if this is just the way things have to go. I mean i honestly have no reason to feel bad about not seeing a lot of the people, i mean they weren't really all that likable. Its not as if i don't have any regrets regarding these people, i genuinely miss a few of them. Then i think, would they fit in with the me i am now? would we even have anything to say to one another? i mean we'd catch up, but would there be any more? or would it just be weird?

After considering my situation, i think of how other people i know have faired regarding this. I think about the good and the bad, and i don't see nearly enough good. I imagine the couples i can think of that graduated together: exactly one still exists, but i don't think it could really be any other way. I contemplate how friendships of other people have had. The ones that kept the friends from high school don't have the same friendships they did in school, and the ones they kept were not always healthy.

In foil to these unhealthy relationships, i have been lucky enough to keep good friends from high school. Not all of them, but a few.

Its weird to think about, and a little saddening.

One of my best friends from high school i don't speak to anymore. I'm not sure why, not sure at all. There could be a lot of reasons we drifted apart. But when i look back on it, and i mean honestly look back on it, without nostalgia, i could have seen it coming.

Why are these posts so serious?
Fuck

State of My Blog

So, i've had a blog a while, and, with the perspective of time, i have decided to shake things up. When looking back at my blog, i find flaws in it, things i dislike, things i find incongruent with my current state of mind. But, instead of doing the logical thing and deleting them and starting over, i have chosen to stay true to the meaning of the word and keep it a 'web log'. See, sleepless nights and swordfights, is a log of things i'm thinking about (as unsettling as that is), and i'd like to keep it. Even if i disagree with my posts, i intend to keep them.

huh--thats not a very interesting post, kinda boring, but i felt like writing it.

I like American Music, baby

baffling...just baffling

SO..I stumbled upon this page that had a fairytale generator, you select factors, and i t generates you a fairytale www.brown.edu/Courses/FR0133/Fairytale_Generator/gen.html/

this is what came out...

I could not stay like I promised, so I took father's satchel hidden underneath his bed and followed the smell of him. If I could not smell anger, I could at least smell my father, wandering the valley bloodthirsty and violent. In the search for my father, I found someone else. Another man, smelling for something angry, with only one eye and a tangling beard. He was distinctly foreign. I gave him my satchel and shoes as he asked me, then I shed my clothes as he advised me to do. "Wear this," he said, and he shed his own skin. It fell off in a pile on the soil floor looking like a tablecloth used in my home. When I clothed myself in his skin I no longer smelled like my home or the valley. Instead I became like the men on the mountain. I smelled distinctly foreign. I thanked the man and watched as he dressed himself in my own clothes. He said he would wear them until new skin grew on his back. Under my feet I felt the rhythm of aches and sighs breathe with each step I took. I felt like I was walking on quicksand. And indeed, when I tried to move my feet I could not feel my toes but only the inability to move them on the surface of palpable danger. When I turned to ask for his help he only laughed. Then I began to think it was he who was making my feet turn to stone. The fairy placed a single seed in my palm which I immediately planted and tended to for months. For days, I watered the seed, showered it with words of encouragement as it grew into a young sprout, and gave it proper space and care as it blossomed fully into a magnificent red rose that granted any wish that I whispered lovingly into its soft petals. "This man," he pointed at me, "this man killed our father. See the blood on his shirt Mother? See it? The smell is like one of our own." My family pressed their hands on various swells of my body as they embraced me with joy. The needle from my tongue flung towards the lying man and struck him in the heart. It gave him poison at the place where it would hurt the most, and soon the man became a limp purple figure of stone.

Its funny that my name on here is mopey. My writing style is far from mopey. its not mopey at all really. I like how i got the name though. When i was twelve i didn't own and xbox, but my friend did, so when i played it was always under randomly generated name. One day it gave me the name mopey and i was told it fit, which it very well may have at the time. But the name stuck and i use it any time i need a name. Its also funny that this whole post has been a digression. No real point, no real focus on grammar, i mean c'mon fuck grammar, i do that enough at school.

Inspired by a friend, i think i'm gonna post a lot more often. Its not gonna make sense, so bear with me on this one.

Do you like american music?
